Wow! I haven’t blogged in SO LONG. We’ve been busy photographing and filming births, weddings, and sessions, but I’m finally emerging from the haze of busy season to bring you a glimpse into this BEAUTIFUL day with two absolutely beautiful people.
Olivia and Caleb joined Steven and I at Max Patch near Hot Springs, NC for this epic newlywed session about a week after their wedding. These two love the mountains, and we were stoked to provide them with some epic mountaintop portraits.
The sun was SO bright that day! We got there less than 2 hours from sunset, and the mountaintop was BLINDING. I usually prefer less sun when shooting, but that sunny glow was so fitting for these two’s relationship. It’s rare to see two people so joyful in love.
The bright sunny day led to one of the most epic Blue Ridge Mountain sunsets I’ve ever witnessed.
As I edited the images from this session, I couldn’t help but notice the variation in the light that day. It’s crazy that all of these images were taken on the same day and location - within an hour of each other! God is truly the most talented artist, and he was clearly showing off on the night of their session.
